Remark! at Great Britain Deaf Football Silver Presentation
Remark! Director Ramon Woolfe accepted the request of taking the Master of Ceremonies role for the Great Britain Deaf FC Silver Awards where the Leicester City FC manager Ian Holloway and his family (his three daughters are all deaf), was guest of honour. Here is an extract from the letter sent to Ramon,
"Dear Ramon,
On behalf of Great Britain Men Deaf Football we are writing to you to thank you for being outstanding as our MC at the “Silver Ball” at Aston Villa FC as part of our celebrations for achieving a Silver medal at the European Football Championships.
On the evening you made a huge difference, and we feel that without you as MC, the night would not have been as successful. Guests enjoyed your impromptu warm ups; the Mexican wave and the recruiting of the volunteers to sing the national anthem, and your speeches in between. There couldn’t have been a better MC we could have asked to carry out this role for this evening. You more than rose to the occasion!
We can only imagine the preparation that went into the role beforehand, which would have been quite difficult at times with the changes in the schedule, but yet you took on more responsibility to design Gwynnie’s tribute on DVD and also a surprise montage to the GB players of their time at the European Championships. This instantly raised the platform of the evening, making it glamorous and indeed, special. The GB team and the guests certainly enjoyed the high standard of your MC role that made the evening feel important to them.
GB Men are grateful to Remark!’s continued support over the years, and we feel we are lucky to have a special bond with both you and Mark who are GB fans as well.
Yours in Football,
Martine Laverty
on behalf of
GB Men Football
Phillip Gardner, Chris Beech, Nick Beese, Martine Laverty and Marcella Stratton."
