For the first time, the Official Website of FIFA and the FIFA World Cup has enabled deaf people across the globe to follow all 64 matches of world football’s showpiece event even more comprehensively.

International Sign, also known as IS, is an international auxiliary language used at international meetings such as the World Federation of the Deaf (WFD) Congress and events such as the Deaflympics.

"It has been a real privilege to be part of the team working for the FIFA who has taken this great step with the incentive to include deaf people, this will open the doors for many more."
