Playworker - North London play scheme (Sessional)

Do you love playing with children and helping them learn and grow? Do you have a qualification in childcare or playwork? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our play worker role!

We are looking for a play worker to join our team and provide fun and stimulating activities for children aged 4 to 11 in our school holiday play scheme. You will be responsible for planning, setting up, and delivering a range of play opportunities that suit the children’s interests and needs. You will also ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Experience of working with children in a play setting

Knowledge of child development and safeguarding
A positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude
A valid DBS check (mandatory)

A level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare or playwork (desirable)

This is a sessional position, working 3-4 days (Tuesdays-Fridays) during school holidays excluding Christmas for 7 hours each day. The salary is £14.80 per hour.

Location: Based at Highbury and Islington with travel around London (expenses covered)

Wage: £14.80 per hour (in line with the London Living Wage)

Accountable to: Remark! Community Coordinator

Hours: 7 hours per day for 3-4 days a week during school holidays, excluding Christmas
