Rose Ayling-Ellis WINS Strictly Come Dancing!

We are beyond thrilled that Rose Ayling-Ellis has been crowned the winner of Strictly Come Dancing 2021

The 27-year-old has been widely praised throughout this series of Strictly for challenging assumptions about d/Deaf people and dancing. She has also inspired more people to learn British Sign Language (BSL) which has resulted in us receiving a high demand for BSL courses.

Rose, who was the first-ever deaf contestant to take part in the show, had been up against former Great British Bake Off winner John Whaite in the tense final.

They both performed three dances each and were level pegging all the way through. The judges scored them both 39 for their first dance and 40 for their last two performances on the show.

If the show has inspired you to learn British Sign Language (BSL), every month, at our Training Centre in London, we offer free BSL class for beginners of the language.

The concept behind these popular sessions is to ‘try before you buy’. We know paying for a course is a big commitment, so why not come along to a free BSL class and see if BSL is for you or not.

The session will also include information on upcoming BSL Level 1 courses, should you want to start your journey into learning BSL straightaway. You’ll also get £50 off, if you sign up on the night!

What are you waiting for? Join us at one of our upcoming free BSL class.
